This lovely 2-bedroom, 1 bath New Orleans Shotgun Double Style Bungalow borders historic Uptown. Take a short walk to Audubon Park (5 blocks W) or stroll down to Magazine Street for shopping (5 blocks N) with local shops, restaurants, and stores including Whole Foods, Walgreens, etc.

There are restaurants throughout the neighborhood including; Frankie & Johnny’s, Patois, Clancy’s, Picnic, Avo, Domolise’s, Wishing Town, Reginelli’s Pizza & Saba. All of these are within walking distance.

This home is full of classic New Orleans charm, including hardwood floors, high ceilings, crown molding, and other original architectural details. Shotgun style means you walk straight through each room from front to back! Enter directly into the living room, then the 1st bedroom. Followed by the small hall with bath, then 2nd bedroom, Kitchen, Breakfast room, & finally the laundry area. Also has a flat screen TV, WiFi, and a Classic Style Radio tuned to WWOZ, New Orleans. Furnished with antiques and art from local artists, you'll love it!

There is a semi private back yard area with seating. Relax with a cup of coffee or cocktail. Since we are dog friendly, there are clean up bags on the fence and enough area to play. We are constantly improving the outdoor space to make it as comfortable as the indoor space.

There are a limited amount of doors inside the home so complete privacy isn’t possible. The 4 poster beds are also tall. There are stools to get into them, but could be a challenge if you have mobility issues or for children. The home is not baby proofed.

The neighborhood is Audubon-Riverside next to Uptown. Walk out the front door and walk to Audubon Park (5 blocks) or stroll down to Magazine Street shopping (5 blocks) with several local shops, restaurants, and stores including Whole Foods and Walgreens.
Located 3 blocks from the Children’s Hospital, 1 mile to St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line, 1.7 miles to Loyola University, 2.4 miles to Tulane University, 4 miles to Warehouse District, 5 miles to the French Quarter, and 7 miles to City Park/Voodoo Fest. Experience the BEST of the city from this safe neighborhood.
A few other great amenities to take note of: During Mardi Gras several Uptown parades roll within walking distance. The French Quarter and Mid City and Esplanade Avenue are all a short Uber or streetcar rides away.

Although you'll have free parking at the home, street parking around the neighborhood is not abundant. It can be found, but you may still have to hike a bit. Walking, cycling and scootering are good options for tooling around the neighborhood. There is also the Streetcar that runs down St. Charles.
