Summary: I stayed with a group of friends at this property. We encountered a handful of set backs and issues during our stay. Communication from the host was almost non existent- 24 hours prior to our stay I had not heard from her regarding check-in instructions. I reached out via the VRBO app and did not receive a response. The next day (day we were supposed to check-in) I still had not heard from her so I messaged again and attempted to call the host but the number was disconnected. I then reached out to VRBO help and they contacted the host. I received one message from the host shortly after that with check-in instructions. After that I did not hear anything else from the host during the entire stay. Additionally I did not receive any check-out instructions or a response to my message asking for them. The house was relatively accurate to the listing photos, however, it is clear that maintenance and upkeep to the house is not regularly done. There were many problems that needed to be fixed including, outlets hanging out of the wall, handles on drawers broken, clogged sink in the kitchen, mold covered shower curtain, and stained window curtains. In addition to maintenance issues, upkeep of the house was lacking- the backyard and patio area looked like it had not been swept or tended to in months, the hot tub was completely unusable, and we saw cockroaches in the kitchen on multiple occasions. The area of the listing is not in the most safe area of town but we had no problems while we were there. The front door keypad is broken so a key was provided instead. Additionally, there was no blinds or curtains on the all glass front and side doors of the house which made our group of all girls somewhat uneasy at night. Overall, we didn’t spend a lot of time in the house. I would not recommend this listing to others unless maintenance and upkeep is improved and communication of the host improves.
