Our home is sought after for it’s heavy wildlife activity! Be prepared to see bears, eagles, hawks, bobcats, and yes the endangered Florida Panther! They come by so often! Especially ,in the early morning and evenings. Check out our pictures!
Our property hosts many endangered species of butterflies including the famous migrating Monarch, Blue Morpho, Gulf Fritillary, Zebra Longwing, Horace’s Duskywing, just to name a few. We proudly do not use pesticides on our 5 acres. We ask that you "leave no trace" as much as possible to encourage these beautiful butterflies to repopulate!
The trails begin at the Butterfly marker seen from the sofa room window. See beautiful air-plants, and a sacred cypress forrest in the depths of the property. You'll experience Hurricane Ian's effects and how the forrest is recovering with an abundant and thriving ecosystem! We will provide you “Off!” And other insect repellents for your comfort. We have hidden animals trails on the property and ask that you take GPS, due to how dense the woods are--it's easy to get lost.
Welcome to the Panther Den, take part in planting a few seeds in our garden or enjoy the small features around the property. It's a private and quiet place to recharge and be close to nature. An Insect lover's and bird watchers delight!
