Situated on 25 private acres in the quiet community of Greenbank (please note, there are three cabins on the 25-acre property), this home allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The city of Oak Harbor is 22 miles north and the small town of Langley is 15 miles away. When it comes to outdoor activities, Whidbey Island is an unspoiled playground. Head out on the water for kayaking, sailing, or whale-watching. Check out Deception Pass State Park for hiking, fishing, birdwatching, and beachcombing. Catch your own dinner when you dig for clams at Dave Mackie Park. Whidbey Island is also known for its thriving artist culture. From handcrafted wood furniture to blown glass, paintings, and pottery, almost every artistic medium is represented. Spend an afternoon in one of the island's communities, such as Oak Harbor or Langley, to find galleries and workshops, as well as retail stores and restaurants.
Step inside this beautiful cabin and note the striking log walls and the impressive stone fireplace. This home is full of charming antique furniture and homey decorations. Light pours into the home from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, which also afford a lovely view of the pond. The spacious, well-appointed kitchen provides everything a home cook needs to prepare a tasty breakfast or a delicious dinner. When it's time to eat, sit down at the breakfast bar, or enjoy views of the pond from the dining room and forest from the kitchen nook. There's also a gas grill outside for group cookouts.
After dinner, head out to the deck and let the sounds of nature carry away your worries and troubles. Unwind with a mug of tea or a glass of wine, and don't be surprised if a few inquisitive ducks come over to say hello - especially if you bring some feed along! Enjoy an evening stroll through the property or stay close to home. Although this cabin is fully connected, don't be surprised if you feel the urge to unplug for a few days.
