This home was originally a "Shotgun Double" built in 1920 in the Roman Revival architectural style that was common in the that era and now is quintessential New Orleans. In 2020, the home was completely renovated and modernized. The entry welcomes you with an open floor plan, studio style, with bed and loveseat. Here you can relax after a long day exploring the city, watch tv around the coffee table or read a book. The room backs in to the full kitchen where you can prepare a big meal with all the necessary supplies. Conveniently, the bathroom sits in the back of the unit, where you will find a newly designed walk-in shower and stackable washer and dryer with plenty of room to store clothes. At either end of the day, enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the front patio and wave to the neighbors walking by the NOLA way! You will have full access to the property, yet the front and backyard are shared with one full-time resident. Enjoy your coffee on the porch on the provided rocking chairs and wave to the locals passing by. I'm from New Orleans and come into town at least once a month. I dine out often and have tons of recommendations for restaurants, live music, things to do in the city, and locals-only places that are meant to make your trip very special. The neighborhood is perfect for walking to all that Magazine St. has to offer. Shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, and parks are all within a mile or closer. You can hear the tug boats as they come into the port from a distance and the house is just charming to sit on the front porch with a glass of wine or coffee and take in the New Orleans lifestyle. Also, the streetcar is an easy walk up 7 blocks and is the most convenient way to get into the city.
