While visiting Kawama, make time for all the local attractions. The Everglades National Park is about 50 minutes away, with plenty of eco-touring and airboat rides. Key Largo's pride and joy, The John Pennekamp State Park & the National Marine Sanctuary surrounds us on 3 sides, Notably known for the first undersea park in the United States, where the famous statue of Jesus can be seen, it encompassies 70 nautical miles. Catch the "Glass-Bottom Boat" or the many snorkeling boats for enjoyable ocean exploration. Molasses Reef is located within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, which is east of The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. This "bucket-list" diving spot, Molasses Reef, is known for being one of the most beautiful coral reefs in Florida, marked with an unmanned reef light. The "African Queen" boat is famously known for Humphrey Bogart's and Katharine Hepburn's 1951 film, is located at MM 100.5, in the heart of Key Largo. In 1992, this was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Just below Key Largo, in Islamorada (approximately MM 82), the charming village of the Moorings Village is the filming location of the Netflix hit series, Bloodline. Go across the street, on the bay side, to Morada Bay and sit and watch the sunsets and take photos next to the "crooked palm tree."
Our townhome, recently renovated for the Key Largo vacationer, is very comfortable. The two bedrooms, with designer touches, have high-end queen mattresses, luxury linens, black-out curtains for sleepy mornings, and TVs. The downstairs area has a sleeper sofa and another deep seat extended length sofa for another guest to sleep. We have portable crib and blow up mattress. Each of the 3 floors have a full bath. Plenty of towels for inside and beach towels for outside. Also, each bedroom has a balcony and chairs for restful book reading. The unit has 4 large flat screen TV, Sonos, plenty of movies, games, books, magazines, local Keys literature, bird watching books, sea maps, etc. Inside the "Welcome Book," is the high-speed WiFi internet information is accessible, all necessary codes for locks, as well as all the local attractions, restaurants, bars, parks, churches, health facilities, etc. The kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and all the utensils a gourmet chef may need. **This unit can accommodate 6 adults and two children, easily. There are two staircases and limited handicap accessibility.**
Wedding Officiating upon request, with proof of a valid Florida marriage license. Boat slips are available, but availability is limited; special arrangements must be made prior. The marina has a free parking area, for boats on trailers; and also has free ramp access (first come first serve basis on trailer and boat parking). Please ask prior to arrival with a boat. The Marina rules are enclosed and are to be followed without exception.
***We love pets, but NOT in our townhome. Absolutely no pets are allowed; no exceptions. This is a non-smoking facility. The Security deposit will NOT be refunded if there is any evidence (smell) of smoking in our unit. If no security deposit received, owner reserves the right to charge an extra cleaning fee.***

Guest access HOA requires a 24 hour notice of estimated time of arrival. Key access to unit is located at front door in a lock box. The lock box code will be provided upon confirmed payment. Keyless entry code will also be provided. All physical keys, if accessed, must be returned to the lock box upon check-out. Lost keys will incur a $100 charge. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. There are some cleaning essentials below the sink in the kitchen, as well. Outdoor chairs, floats, and bikes have an easy access. Owners areas are locked and no access will be granted.
Other things to note Kawama Vacation Homes Cleaning Commitment for COVID19 is taken very seriously. We want you to feel comfortable where you stay. We have always used professional cleaners in all our rental homes.Minimum stays 3 nights
Supplied: 1 roll of paper towels, a few rolls of toilet paper, a few trash bags, travel shampoo, travel soap, laundry detergent, and some cleaning supplies.
