Waterside 2 bed / 2 bath 1000 ft2 condo with internet and cable and with a large, observation screened terrace. ( If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful place this is the place for you. But if you choose to be active many interesting activities are open to you. See below. )
Please plan for a minimum stay of one week. The master bedroom has a queen bed and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom is furnished as an office / library but with a comfortable sofa which converts to a wide bed if needed. In the living room the sofa with day bed invites you to put your feet up and relax. Watch cable TV ( 55" ) or if you prefer, move to the large screened verandah ( see photos ) and look through the floor to ceiling sliding windows at the ever changing vista of the river and the marsh birds gliding by . Ideally the condo would work well for one or two couples or a couple with two older children.
The condo is equipped with a/c and additional heating for cooler days if required.
Fully equipped kitchen and dining area for six, plus two swivel bar stools to chat with the chef. Very central location for town, beach and river , all of them a handful of minutes away by car. Linen, towels and kitchen utensils, cups,plates, cutlery etc. are provided together with a new washer and drier.
There is a choice of three swimming pools, one of them heated for those who plan a longer stay over Winter. Your magnetic key ensures limited entry.
If you prefer not to drive, the St John's Community Sunshine bus will take you anywhere within the county and all the beaches for one dollar per trip or fifty cents if you are over 60 . A Three dollar ticket allows you to travel all day, everywhere, and half that if you are over 60 or carry a Medicare card. ( Exact change is requested ). A published time table enables you to plan your journeys.
In addition to the pools those interested in tennis have three courts to choose from and the fishing fans have the key to the private pier into the Matanzas river and the relaxing gazebo.
You may also make use of the BBQ area recently opened and enjoy practising your cullinary skills al fresco.
St Augustine Shores Activities Club serves the residents but short term visitors may also temporarily join on an inexpensive basis to enjoy yoga, dancing, art classes, line dancing and bridge.
